About us
Who we are
Include Me is a small grass roots charity established in 2008 to recruit, match and support volunteers as Citizen Advocates for adults aged 16-65 living in North East Fife, who are vulnerable*, isolated and at risk of being excluded from their communities.
(Vulnerable*- long term health condition or disability)
Citizen Advocates provide long-term support to vulnerable adults to help them make choices and have their voices heard and represented.
Our role is to create and support the development of Citizen Advocacy Partnerships.
- A Partner is the individual who receives the advocacy support
- An Advocate is the volunteer they are matched with
- The Partnership is the relationship between the Partner and the Advocate.
Include Me is made up of a Volunteer Management Committee, two part-time Development Workers and Volunteer Advocates. We are core funded by Fife Health & Social Care Partnership.
Include Me's role is to create and support the development of Citizen Advocacy
Our organisation has a strong commitment to social justice, inclusion and personal choice and believe everyone has a right to participate in decisions made about their lives.
